Hey all those who read my journal entries! It's summer and I am drawing and writing like a mad man! I plan to get a part-time job, but that's not what I'm here to talk about.

What kept me away from posting on DA?

Well, my computer kept me away. I was unable to use my computer for a while just like the beginning of last summer, which was really odd. I had and am still in the aftermath of having to reinstall my mac os x stuff, meaning everything that I had on my computer previously, including my research material and bookmarks and other stuff, was deleted. I don't really know what the deal was, but I have an external hard drive that I never really used before and had the intention to use for my manga files. Im using it as a basic backup to keep te normal stats of my computer so that I don't have to continue to reinstall my adobe, manga studio, etc. It's been ridiculous computer behavior for a good while.

New News?

Yes I do have news! I've decided on my next project and that's what I've been working on. Gathering research on the subject, writing exercises, and drawing lessons. Found this awesome book at the library called The Complete Guide to Figure Drawing for Comics and Graphic Novels. Back to my news, the current name of the manga project is "Fang Breed." I have much of the concept down, several story arc plots, some villains and heroes with back stories, twists, etc. A lot of notecards, notepads, and several notebook pages on the manga and such. I'm going into the phase of writing the first chapter very soon, like today hopefully, even though I haven't chosen the main character's name XD.

The story is about a teen boy who becomes a magic werewolf. It's not the nowadays tales of girls in love with vamps and werewolves, and I'm not even sure the name werewolf is best. One might call it "wolfman" instead, but again with my own twist on the subject because I can't be like everyone else. The genre is shonen/supernatural/action. I guess it could be considered a battle manga too. The main character (MC for main character, not a name) is cliche in being clawed by a wolfman, and awakens his own wolf powers. He doesn't know what he is at first and comes up with some weird thoughts on the subject. MC has felt like his existense would be questionable since it seems like no one knows that he exist except for his mother, favorite teacher and best friend. After he is attacked and his own powers are somewhat realized, so is his existence as he enters school and it seems everyone notices him and thinks he is a new student. He is a careless, attention grabbing guy who loves the spotlight. But ofc, conflict arises and he will need to make a choice in what to do.

Kinda a crappy synopsis, I know, but anything else will give away spoilers that I don't want to give away. I have been working on the style of art I will be using for this by which I could call it "my style". I know how I want him to look so cheers to that!.... still deciding on clothing. I also have several characters that show up in later chapters. I hope to advertise/teaser this project really soon. Esp. now that I know how to use time machine in case of computer emergencies.
