"Everyone! Gas masks on!" The teacher's voice echoed carrying wind throughout the training grounds. Baggy blue boots crunched the cindered leaves on the path beneath the midday sun. Hissing began to rumble amongst the young audience. The teacher raised her hand in dismay. Lifting up her gas mask, she announces, "Go ahead Psyva."

Standing before the target posted on an old tree, Psyva stumps her foot with authority. She throws her head back while shouting, "Acid of the Poison Dragon!"

Just a drawing I did today for my DA ID. It's me doing graffiti of my username to a blank wall. I used the G-Pen in Manga Studio EX4. Still getting used to it, and could improve with my line work and workflow better.
It's kinda in bleach style with the way I drew the eyes. Don't have a personal style yet, but I'm sure it'll be a collective influence.

Epic work; really expressive and cool ID

One thing I'd like to point out (not to dampen your spirits) is the believability of the pose? I would have had the other hand be drawing the graffiti, because the way you drew this, the neck is twisting painfully... and the line of sight is too dead-on towards us the audience... I just tried the pose myself, and I couldn't achieve the same pose and line of sight.

I would try the pose out yourself to see if it makes sense. I'm not saying its not well drawn; it is very well drawn. But the posing could use a tad more work... imo

LOL I totally agree! That's a painful pose because after I drew it, I tried posing that way and was like, "Oww!" It was thrown together in a spurr after doing some figure drafts and I was trying to draw a random pose from my imagination. It's less so that I'm in the process of graffiti, but more so pointing to it, kinda.

Thanks. Your critique is dead on. I should've angled the body more that way the head could turn that way more relaxed. Something to be learned and practiced. I appreciate it.

Like I said, compared to the other works I saw in your gallery, this is a great improvement, and I like how this turned out a LOT!

I struggle with the same thing... I'm too stubborn to pose first before I draw xD I want to test my imagination and knowledge. But I'm trying to break that habit, because it really helps. So I know I'm being a hypocrite, but if you can improve from it, then I will say it!! xD as they say, "haste makes waste" xD... especially when roughing out sketches (speaking from personal experience

)
